Claims were generally well itemized, signed and approved. Minutes were neatly written, properly signed and appeared to contain adequate substance of the Boards transactions. A swimming pool account has been started as of July 1, 1966, as requested in last years examination report. Previously, this account was kept with the Whitehall State Bank. The housing and dormitory investment account shown in this report is from the sale of the dormitory building. If it is the desire of the Board of Trustees to retain this money, a building fund should be created, as set forth under Section 75-1634, R.C.M. 1947. We suggest that the County Treasurer create an investment fund, whereby interest derived from such investments could be receipted for and credited to this account. Section 16-2618, R.C.M. 1947, sets fortth the type of investments which school monies may be invested. We find no authorization under this statute, which allows investments with Savings and Loan Associations. Basil H. Kennedy Senior Deputy State Examiner -8- • E.S.E.A.
