RD-BR 2015 03-24 ROAD AND BRIDGE REPORT March 24, 2015 Present: Commissioners Mullen and Kirsch; Rory Parsons Absent: Commissioner Wortman Rory gave the Commissioners a crew update. Two crew from Montana City, two from Whitehall and one from Boulder are currently attending an underground utility workshop. The Boulder crew is replacing a big culvert on Lower Valley Road. Someone needs to talk to Ed McCauley about the fence; it has been taken down and fill added, and someone needs to talk to Ed about where to place the new fence. Rory stated that Leon Albert will be working with Fred this week and next. Rory, Kipp and Curt will be attending the MACRS conference next week. Rory reported that the cattle guard on Millegan Canyon Road has been replaced. The Road Department added some fill. Rory stated that he will need to notice the Lower Valley Road improvement project. He talked to Gillman, who has the contract for the milling project at Elk Park, and found that the project has been pushed back until September. Rory stated that he won't be able to chip seal the millings this year because it will be so late in the year. Rory noted that he has gotten this year's fuel tax map and has reviewed it. It needs to be returned to the state by Friday. All crews have switch to four l Os as of this week. Rory reported that he has scheduled the oil for chip seal. They will chip all that they milled last year, and he would like to do Jackson creek as well.
