RD-BR 2015 05-12 ROAD AND BRIDGE REPORT May 12,2015 Present: Commissioners Leonard Wortman, Cory Kirsch and Bob Mullen and Road Supervisor, Rory Parsons. Rory Parsons reviewed the road and bridge report with the Commissioners. Montana City Crew The crew has been grading and sweeping on Chokecherry Lane and Gruber Estates. The roads in Pinecrest Estates were patched yesterday. Boulder Crew The crew graded the Little Boulder Road. The road project on Pine Street in Basin has been completed to everyone's satisfaction. The crew will begin dura patching by the fairgrounds and Depot Hill Road later this week. Whitehall Crew The crew has been cleaning culverts and grading the Boulder Cut Off Road. A culvert on Boulder Cut Off Road was crushed so the crew replaced the culvert. Lower Valley Road Project Parsons talked with Rusty Giulio and he plans to begin working on the project Thursday. Wortman asked if he understood about the surveying documents. Discussion was held regarding the survey documents and whether or not the county has ownership of the documents. Parsons will contact the County Attorney's office about this issue and report back to the Commission. Discussion was held regarding the hill by McCauley Ranch, which is difficult for trucks to navigate. The millings will raise the road approximately ten inches. Wortman asked Parsons to talk with McCauley about the hill and the fencing on the road project. Sale of Culverts The current price to purchase a twelve-inch culvert is $212.00 per stick. Parsons will talk with the County Attorney on how best to proceed with the sale of the culverts. Road Position in Mt. City The personnel office posted the Mt. City road crew position. Curt will begin working in the Boulder area. Kirsch asked who will be on the interview committee. In the past, Jeanette Smith, Parsons, Keith Vetsch and Wortman has interviewed the prospective candidates. Upper Muskrat Road The crew graded the road to the forest service line. Feller misunderstood Parsons instructions so Kip will grade the rest of the roadway in the next week. Teeling's have expressed gratitude for the work done on the road. Clancy Footbridge Parsons has called for a utility locate on the area around the foot bridge. The crew will start the project in the near future. Moonlight Ridge Parsons and Gruber discussed sweeping the roads in the subdivision. The roads will be side- swept. Gruber quoted a price of$1900.00. The homeowner's accepted the estimate. Wortman asked Parsons to make a list of all schedule A roads for discussion at a future meeting. Kirsch suggested driving up McCarty Creek Road from top to bottom and having a discussion on the road at a future meeting. ATTEST: �.
