RD-BR 2015 06-09 ROAD AND BRIDGE REPORT June 9, 2015 Present: Commissioners- Cory Kirsch and Bob Mullen and Road Supervisor, Rory Parsons. Rory Parsons reviewed the road and bridge report with the Commissioners. Montana City Crew The crew has been grading Gruber Estates and Warm Springs Creek Roadways. Gary Marks donated the material for the railing on the Clancy Foot Bridge, which has been completed. Boulder Crew The crew has finished grading Bernice Road and will begin grading Radarsburg Road tomorrow. The crew cut brush on the Whitetail Road last week. Whitehall Crew The crew has been cleaning cattle guards and grading the KG and Jewett Lane roadways. They will begin grading the Millegan Canyon road this week. Lower Valley Road Project Giulio should start on the next portion of the project tomorrow. The project is to be completed by June 24. Chips Smith called various contractors for prices on chips. They have not heard back from all the contractors at this time. Safety Meeting MACO gave a presentation on load securement last week. Speed Reader Parsons picked up the speed reader that was located on Lump Gulch Road last weekend. He has not received any feed back from the various residents of the area who were complaining about the speed of the traffic on the roadway. Schedule A Roads Parsons provided a list of the schedule A roads. Discussion was held on the various roads. The Clerk and Recorder will conduct a search on forest service agreements for Parsons. Snow Plow Vetsch will be driving to Spokane on Thursday to look at the snow plow truck. The price is approximately$56,750. McCarty Creek Road Discussion was held on the condition of McCarty Creek Road. A culvert was installed by citizens to keep people from driving in the mud. The culvert was installed without a permit. Parsons talked with Jeremiah at Great West and he did not think a bridge would need to be installed over the pool of water that has formed. Citizens for Balanced Uses are asking for the road to be improved. The Commissioners may need to review the road before discussing improvements to the road.
