Montana City Crew The crew has been cutting brush and cleaning and steaming culverts. Boulder Crew The crew has been sweeping roadways around the Boulder area and cleaning culverts. Parsons will be checking on the roads in the Elk Park area today. Whitehall Crew Milligan Canyon Road has been repaired and is now open to the public. The crew has graded some roads in the Whitehall area. Montana City Shop Repair The contractor should complete the project by Friday. Parsons and the contractor have had a difference of opinion on what was included in the contract. Parsons will pick up a copy from the Clerk and Recorder's office so they can resolve several issues. Broadwater County The road supervisor from Broadwater County talked with Parsons about swapping some road maintenance work. Broadwater will maintain Price Road if Jefferson will maintain Meridian Road to the bridge. Parsons agreed to swap work with Broadwater County. Sand Purchase Parsons would like to purchase one thousand yards of sand for Montana City and Boulder areas. He will transfer money out of his gravel budget to cover the cost. Madison County Chipping Madison County has requested help from Jefferson County to chip seal approximately four miles of roadway. Parsons thought they should be able to get the project done in a day. Montana City Job Posting Doherty will post the Montana City job opening within the next couple of weeks. Equipment Vetsch was able to find parts for the grader that was wrecked. Montana City Shop Kirsch asked Parsons if he would like to move the road department to the top of the hill or have the solid waste site moved to the top of the hill. Parsons stated that it would make more sense for the road department to move to the top of the hill as it would require less road work. A new shop would have to be built on top of the hill for the road department but the solid waste would be able to use the shop at the current location.
