RD-BR 2019 05-07 ROAD AND BRIDGE REPORT May 7,2019 Present: Commissioners: Leonard Wortman, Cory Kirsch and Bob Mullen, Road Supervisor, Rory Parsons. Rory Parsons reviewed the road and bridge report with the Commissioners. Minutes None were presented for approval. Montana City Crew Candice Bell, Ting's Bar,has requested approval to close Spring Road, located in Jefferson City, for an event one night. The Commissioners approved the request. The crew has been grading Warm Springs Road and Woodlands Loop. Culverts were installed in Gruber Estates where a spring is overflowing onto the road. Culverts will be installed on Clancy Creek this week. Rosewood Estates HOA contacted Kirsch regarding the installation of a speed bump close to Vickie Guber's residence. Discussion was held regarding this issue. Boulder Crew The crew is grading Bernice Road today and will grade Basin Creek Road later this week. Holes were patched on Corbin Road. Most of the roadways in the Boulder area have been broomed. The water truck broke down. Once the truck is fixed, the crew will finish brooming the roadways. Wortman asked what Parsons is planning to do with Muskrat Road. Parsons replied that he will have to wait until the roadway dries out before he can patch the holes. Whitehall Crew The crew will grade Milligan Canyon and KG County roadways this week. Stratton has talked with Parsons regarding a cattle guard on Cedar Hills Road. Personnel Issues Assistant Road Supervisor, Sean Zimmerman, has requested to back to an operator position. Discussion was held regarding this issue. Parsons will talk with Personnel Officer, Kellie Doherty. Mt. City Job Posting The administrative assistant position was posted. Wortman stated that he was wondering if they should look at cutting the position or reducing the position to part time. Kirsch asked if Brian would do some of the work for additional pay. The Commission will discuss this issue with Personnel Officer, Kellie Doherty. Encroachment Issues on McClellan Creek Road Mullen and Parsons looked at the road. The road is encroaching on private property. Parsons suggested purchasing an easement. Wortman stated that he would like to see the road moved so the situation is resolved. The county would have to survey the road and have easement documents drafted. It would cost less to move the road. Parsons will get this done by fall.
