RD-BR 2019 11-19 ROAD AND BRIDGE REPORT November 19,2019 Present: Commissioners: Leonard Wortman, Cory Kirsch and Bob Mullen, Road Supervisor, Rory Parsons; Great West Engineering, Jeremiah Theyes; Mark Heiman, and Teamsters Union Representative, Terry Bartle; Personnel Officer, Kelly Doherty; and County Attorney, Steve Haddon. Minutes None were presented for approval. Hot Springs Bridge Jeremiah reviewed the bridge project with the Commission. The TSEP grant was received and Great West is moving forward with the project. Boring data will be collected on the site by GeoTech. The road will need to be closed for a day while they are working. The road department will put up the road closure signs. Jeremiah will put the advertisement in the Boulder Monitor and Whitehall Ledger next week. TSEP will review the design and specifications and the bid document should be out in the month of April. The Commission should be able to award the bid in May. Construction will start in August. Wortman would like to see the project started by the week of July 15 as Kountz needs the bridge to be open in the last week of September. Job Applications Three applications were received for Parsons position. Doherty will re-advertise the job opening using LTAP and other resources.
