RES 1969 BOULDER LIGHTING NOTICE OF PASSAGE OF RESOLUTION NO. 12 , A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CREATE SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 , IN THE TOWN OF BOULDER, MONTANA. TO: All persons, firms or corporations having property within proposed Special Improvement Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 , Town of Boulder, Montana. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Council of the Town of Boulder, Montana, will be in session on the 22nd day of A,. pri1 , 1969, at 7:00 P.M., at the Council Chambers in the Town Hall, and that there and then will hear and pass upon protests against the proposed improvements and the extent and creation of such district to be assessed, or in any matter pertaining thereto. Any protests must be in writing and filed with the Town Clerk within 15 days from and after A ri1 , 1969, the date of the first pub- lication and mailing of this notice. Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 12- passed by the Town Council and approved by the Mayor on the 25th day of March 1969, and now on file in the office of the Town Clerk of Boulder, Montana, for the description of the boundaries, method of assessment and other particulars of the proposed district. The general character of the improvements to be made is to provide street lighting facilities along and upon the portions of the streets and avenues within the boundaries of said district in the Town of Boulder, Montana, with twenty -four 400 watt, 20,000 lumen, mercury vapor fixtures mounted on steel poles with overhead wiring, and twelve 175 watt, 7,000 lumen, mercury vapor fixtures mounted on wooden poles, with overhead wiring, along and upon the hereinafter named streets and avenues within said district, more particularly set out in Resolution of Intention No. 12 , spaced and located in accordance with the map of said proposed lighting maintenance district on file in the office of the Town Clerk in the EXHIBIT "A" Town of Boulder, Montana. The estimate of the cost.for electrical energy and main- tenance for the proposed district per year is $2,329.92; the es- timate for the one - fourth (1/4) proportion of the cost to be borne by the Town of Boulder per year is $582.48. The estimated cost of such distract per year for property owners 'is at the rate of $3.03 for each thousand square feet, or for an average lot of 25 x 150T, would amount to approximately $11.38 per year. Due to the differ- ences in the time the lighting service starts and the time assess- ments can be levied, the first assessment may cover a period of operation of the district shorter or greater than one year. The estimate of the total cost of the district (including the Town's share) 'to be covered by the first assessment is $ 970.58 The lighting facilities are to be located along the fol- lowing streets and avenues in Boulder, Montana: (a) Along both sides of Main Street from the southerly boundary of Leslie Street to the northerly boundary of Fifth Avenue. (b) On Leslie Street between Main Street and the public alley between Main Street and Madison Street; on First Avenue between the public alley between Washington Street and Main Street and the public alley between Main Street and Madison Street; on Second Avenue between the public alley between Washington Street and Main Street and between Main Street and the public alley between Main Street and Madison Street; on Centennial.Avenue between the public alley between Washington Street and Main Street and between Main Street and the public alley -2- - r� ^ between Main Street and Madison Street; on Third Avenue between the public alley between Washington Street and Main Street and between Main Street and ` the public alley between Main Street and Madison Street; on Fourth Avenue between the public alley between Washington Street and Main Street and be- tween Main Street and the public alley between Main Street and Madison Street; on Fifth Avenue between Main Street and the public alley which is between Washington Street and Main Street.
