RES 1986-02 ROAD & SOLID WASTE LOAN RESOLUTION -- gC WHEREAS, Sixty -six Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety - three and 03 /100ths Dollars ($66,993.03) was loaned to the solid waste fund from the county road fund in 1980, and WHEREAS, the audit of Jefferson County by the Department of Commerce for fiscal year ending June 30, 1984, notes that such loan has not been repaid, and WHEREAS, said audit further recommends either repayment of the loan or treatment of the transaction as a disbursement for solid waste purposes and elimination of the liability and receivable accounts from the applicable funds, and WHEREAS, Forty -four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighteen and 02 /100ths Dollars ($44,718.02) was borrowed from the solid waste fund during the current fiscal year for the purpose of making a bond payment March 1, 1986, necessitated by the bond issue for the new county jail facility, and WHEREAS, the Local Government Services Division of the Department of Commerce recommends treatment of the latter transaction as an interfund loan from solid waste to debt service, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners intends to treat the 1980 loan transaction between the road fund and the solid waste fund as a disbursement for solid waste purposes and eliminate the liability and receivable accounts from the applicable funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commission- ers intends to treat the Forty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighteen and 02 /100ths Dollars ($44,718.02) loan from the solid waste fund to the debt service as an interfund loan and further intends to repay the solid waste fund after second half tax collections are made in May or June, 1986, prior to the end of fiscal year 1986.
