RES 1985-09 SALARY OF JUSTICE OF THE PEACE RESOLUTION NO. SALARIES FOR JUSTICE OF THE PEACE AND COUNTY CORONER WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3 -10 -207, MCA, the Board of County Commissioners is required to set the salary for the Justice of the Peace by Resolution, and WHEREAS, Section 3- 10- 207(4), MCA, required that the salary of the Justice of the Peace be set at a level not less than the salary received by the District Clerk of the Court, and WHEREAS, Section 3 -10 -208, MCA, required the office hours be designated by the Board of Commissioners by Resolution, and WHEREAS, Section 7 -4 -2211, MCA, the Justice Court office shall be open for transaction of business from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. / every day in the year except Holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously set the salary for the County Coroner in Resolution No. dated the lst day of July, 1985, and WHEREAS, the salary so set for the County Coroner in said Resolution was mistakenly calculated based on the entire 1984 -85 fiscal year budget of the County Coroner, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners determines it necessary to recalculate and correct the salary of the County Coroner. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the salaries for the County Justice of the Peace and the County Coroner for fiscal year 1985 -86 be set as follows: Justice of the Peace $17,403.14 .
