RES 1981-36 JAIL-HERB JACKSON ARCH RESOLUTION NO. Whereas, the Jefferson County Jail is in need of considerable remodeling in order to comply with State Regulations, and Whereas, it appears that if compliance is not soon met, there may be more serious problems arising due to increased pressure from State and other agencies, and Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners have consulted many of their counterparts in other counties and various construction companies familiar with governmental regulations regarding — institutions of this nature, and __.. . Whereas, after research, it appears that Herbert L. Jacobson, Architect, from Helena appears to be willing to provide plans and specifications for a new law center contingent on actual completion for his fees, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Board that we accept Mr. Jacobsons proposal as submitted in the attached letter. Jacobson, Architect Diamond Block Helena, Montana 59601 Oct. 2 1981 Re: Jefferson County Jail The County Commissioners of Jefferson County County Courthouse Boulder, Montana 59632 Gentlemen; In accordance with the recent meeting with you and County Attorney Mr. Woodgote, My firm will be willing to proceed with schematic studies and sketches to aid you in the planning of the above named jail . It is understood that when funds are available to proceed with the working drawings and specifications and award of the construction contract, my firm will be employed as the architect. The fee for the architectural work will be negotiated at that time and generally in compliance with fees charged for this type of building elsewhere in Montana. Sincerely Herbert L.
